Last winter, the European Capital of Culture decided to take the warehouse down, along with the wooden blue and white art nouveau building next door. They both were, as I later discovered, classified historically precious buildings and had outstanding value in the cityscape according to the protection plan written by the same city back in 2002.

I had heard rumors of plans to demolish the buildings, wich lead me to plan the album cover a bit further, and now, having the inner sleeve shots as planned I should be happy ... but I'm not, it's quite the opposite.

The old slaughterhouse my studio is located, has been under risk of demolition for the past ten years. Inside the house there's lots of rehearsal space that local musicians and artists use. We can only keep our fingers crossed it will be another ten years before they are able to make any kind of decisions concerning a building with no historical or cultural values ... ;)

Back to business ...
